Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding contract between you and Codedu Software Technologies, having its registered office at COCO Group, Mukkadan Complex, Infopark Smart City Short Road, Edachira, Kakkanad, Kochi, Kerala 682030, India ("GospelVox", "we", "us", "our"), governing your access to and use of the GospelVox mobile application, websites, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").
By creating an account, signing in, or using any part of the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform.
1. Definitions
- "User" — a person who uses the Platform to seek spiritual consultation, counsel, prayer, or related services from a Speaker.
- "Speaker" (referred to in some screens as "Priest") — a verified Christian minister, pastor, or spiritual guide who offers consultations on the Platform.
- "Session" — a one-to-one chat or voice consultation between a User and a Speaker, conducted through the Platform.
- "Bible Session" — a structured, scheduled Bible-study or group-prayer session delivered through the Platform.
- "Coins" — the in-Platform credit that Users purchase and spend on Sessions, Bible Sessions, and other paid features. Coins have no monetary value outside the Platform and cannot be sold, transferred, or redeemed for cash by Users.
- "Wallet" — the User's Coin balance and the Speaker's earnings balance, both maintained in our systems.
- "Content" — anything you upload, post, or transmit through the Platform, including profile photos, bios, reviews, chat messages, voice transmissions, and submitted documents.
2. Eligibility
You may use the Platform only if you:
- Are at least 18 years old. The Platform is not directed at children under 18 and we do not knowingly create accounts for minors.
- Are legally capable of entering into a binding contract under your local law.
- Are not barred from using the Platform under any applicable law (including export-control, sanctions, or anti-money-laundering rules).
- Have not previously been suspended or removed from the Platform.
We may verify your eligibility at any time and may suspend or close your account if we believe these conditions are not met.
3. Account Registration & Security
3.1 Sign-in methods. You may register and sign in using Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In. We do not store the password you use with these identity providers; we receive only the identification data described in our Privacy Policy.
3.2 Accurate information. You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date.
3.3 One person, one account. Each individual may hold only one User account and, separately, only one Speaker account. Creating duplicate, fake, or impersonating accounts is prohibited.
3.4 Account security. You are responsible for safeguarding access to the device and identity provider used with your account. Notify us immediately at support@gospelvox.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3.5 Account roles. Some Users may also register as Speakers under a separate flow. Each role is governed by both the general parts of these Terms and the role-specific sections below.
4. Description of the Platform
The Platform allows Users to discover Christian Speakers and connect with them through chat or voice for spiritual consultation, prayer, counsel, and related Bible-based sessions. The Platform also offers Bible Sessions, a matrimony discovery feature, profile-sharing, and a review system. Specific features may be added, modified, or withdrawn without prior notice.
The Platform is a technology intermediary. Sessions and Bible Sessions are person-to-person services delivered by independent Speakers. GospelVox is not a provider of religious counsel, psychological therapy, legal advice, or medical advice, and does not employ Speakers as agents or employees.
5. Speaker Verification & Onboarding
5.1 Speakers must complete a multi-step registration submitting:
- Full name, contact phone, email, profile photo.
- Denomination, sub-denomination, church name, diocese, location, years of experience, biography, languages, specialisations.
- Government-issued identification ("ID Proof") and a ministry ordination or credential certificate ("Certificate").
- Bank account details (account holder name, account number, IFSC, bank name, branch, account type) and optionally a UPI ID for receiving earnings.
5.2 Registration is reviewed by our team. Submission does not guarantee approval. We may reject, request additional information, suspend, or terminate any Speaker account at our sole discretion, including (without limitation) where we have reason to believe the information provided is false, the Speaker's conduct violates these Terms, or where required by law.
5.3 Speakers must pay a one-time activation fee of ₹500 before they can receive paid Sessions on the Platform. The activation fee is non-refundable once paid, except where required by applicable law. The applicable activation-fee amount is also shown to the Speaker in the in-app activation screen immediately before payment.
5.4 Speakers must keep their ID Proof, Certificate, and bank details current. We may temporarily disable Speakers whose documents have expired or become inconsistent.
5.5 Verified badge. A "verified" indicator on a Speaker's profile means we have reviewed the submitted ID and ordination/credential documents and that the documents appeared authentic at the time of review. It is not an endorsement of the Speaker's theological positions, counsel, or suitability for any User's specific needs, and is not a substitute for the User's own due diligence.
6. Coins, Pricing & Payments
6.1 Nature of Coins. Coins are an in-Platform unit of credit used to access paid Sessions and other paid features. Coins are not legal tender, are not a payment instrument, do not bear interest, and cannot be sold, transferred between accounts, or exchanged for cash by Users.
6.2 Purchasing Coins. Users may purchase Coin packs at the prevailing prices shown in the app. Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
6.3 Payment processor. All in-app purchases — Coin packs, the Speaker activation fee, and paid Bible Sessions — are processed by the operator of the app store you installed GospelVox from. We never receive or store your card, UPI, net-banking, or other payment credentials.
- Android (Google Play). Payment is collected and handled by Google through Google Play's billing system, in accordance with the Google Play Terms of Service. By making a purchase you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service.
- iOS (Apple App Store). Payment is collected and handled by Apple through Apple's In-App Purchase system, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. By making a purchase you also agree to those terms.
6.4 Geographic availability of paid features. Paid features are available to Users in the countries where the GospelVox app is distributed and where the relevant store's billing system — Google Play billing on Android, Apple In-App Purchase on iOS — supports purchases. Where available, prices are shown in your local currency. Users in regions where in-app purchases are not supported may access only the free portions of the Platform.
6.5 Promotional offers. From time to time we may offer promotional Coin packs or discounts, subject to the terms shown at the point of purchase. Where a promotional offer is limited (for example, to first-time buyers or to one redemption per User), that limit will be stated at the point of purchase.
6.6 Coin spend. Coins are deducted from the User's Wallet when a Session begins and, for time-billed Sessions, periodically during the Session. Indicative Coin cost per minute is shown in the Speaker's profile prior to starting a Session.
6.7 Coin expiry. Purchased Coins do not expire while your account remains active. Coins are forfeited if your account is closed (by you or by us for cause) or has been inactive for 24 months, in each case subject to applicable law.
6.8 Pricing changes. We may change Coin pack pricing, Session rates, and promotional terms at any time. Changes apply prospectively; Coins you have already purchased are not affected by later price changes.
6.9 Invoices. Purchases are made through Google Play on Android and the Apple App Store on iOS. The relevant store operator — Google or Apple — issues the payment receipt for each transaction and, where applicable, collects and remits any applicable taxes as the marketplace operator. Where we are additionally required to issue an invoice, we will make it available in your account.
7. Sessions — Conduct and Limits
7.1 Voice Sessions use the real-time communication infrastructure of Agora Lab, Inc. ("Agora"). Voice traffic is encrypted in transit. We do not record the audio of voice Sessions unless we specifically tell you in advance and obtain your consent.
7.2 Chat Sessions are stored on our servers so that you and the Speaker can refer back to the conversation. Both parties can see the full chat history of a Session.
7.3 Session etiquette. You must treat the other party with respect. The following are prohibited during any Session:
- Harassment, hate speech, threats, sexual content, or content that is obscene, defamatory, or unlawful.
- Sharing of malware, phishing links, or other harmful material.
- Solicitation of off-Platform payments to evade Coin pricing.
- Recording the other party without their explicit consent.
- Impersonation, false statements about credentials, or misrepresentation of ministry affiliation.
7.4 Right to terminate a Session. Either party may end a Session at any time. We may interrupt or terminate a Session if we detect abuse, fraud, or a violation of these Terms.
7.5 Network / device issues. Sessions depend on your network and device. We are not responsible for dropped Sessions caused by your connectivity, device permissions (microphone, notifications, etc.), or third-party infrastructure outages.
8. Speaker Earnings & Withdrawals
8.1 Earnings. Speakers earn Coins for paid Sessions and Bible Sessions completed through the Platform, net of the Platform's service fee ("Commission") of 50% of the gross Session value. Commission rates may be revised on prior notice in the app.
8.2 Conversion. Earned Coins are converted to INR at the rate of 1 Coin = ₹1 for withdrawal purposes. The conversion rate may be revised on prior notice in the app and applies to the balance held at the time of conversion.
8.3 Withdrawal. Speakers may request withdrawal of their INR-equivalent balance to their saved bank account or UPI ID, subject to:
- a minimum withdrawal threshold of ₹1,000;
- successful KYC and bank-detail verification;
- our anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, and sanctions checks.
8.4 Settlement SLA. Approved withdrawals are remitted to the Speaker's bank/UPI within 5–7 business days of request, excluding delays caused by the banking network or by verification queries.
8.5 Holds, reversals, and clawbacks. We may place a hold on, deduct from, or reverse Speaker earnings if we determine that the underlying Session was fraudulent, was subject to a chargeback, was in breach of these Terms, or where required by law or banking regulators.
8.6 Taxes; TDS certificates. Speakers are independent service providers and are solely responsible for their own income tax and other tax filings on amounts earned. Where required by law (e.g., TDS under Section 194-O of the Income-Tax Act, 1961), we may withhold or deduct tax at source from withdrawals and remit it to the relevant authority on the Speaker's behalf. Where TDS is withheld, we will issue the corresponding tax-deduction certificate (Form 16A) on a quarterly basis in accordance with the Income-Tax Rules.
8.7 Independent contractor. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, joint-venture, or partnership relationship between GospelVox and any Speaker.
9. Refunds, Cancellations & Chargebacks
Refund and cancellation rules are set out in the separate Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary:
- Coins are credited immediately on payment and are generally non-refundable.
- Coins are refunded or re-credited where a payment failed, a Session failed to connect, the Speaker no-showed, or a Session ended due to a Platform fault.
- Initiating a chargeback without first contacting support is a material breach of these Terms.
- Statutory consumer rights under applicable law are not affected.
10. Reviews, Ratings & User-Generated Content
10.1 You may post reviews and ratings of Speakers and submit profile information and other Content. You retain ownership of your Content; by posting it you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licensable licence to host, display, distribute, and use your Content for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting the Platform.
10.2 Prohibited Content. You must not post Content that is:
- Unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, hateful, threatening, harassing, or that infringes anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights.
- Spam, advertising, off-Platform solicitation, or pyramid-scheme material.
- Religiously inflammatory toward other faiths or denominations, or intended to incite violence or hatred.
- Misleading, including false claims of healing, miracles, guaranteed financial outcomes, or medical/psychiatric cures.
10.3 Reporting & takedown. Any User or Speaker can report Content that violates these Terms from within the app. We aim to review reported Content and remove violating Content within 24 hours of a substantiated report, consistent with App Store Guideline 1.2 and Play Store policy.
10.4 Blocking. Users and Speakers can block any other party from contacting them through the in-app block control. Blocked parties cannot initiate new Sessions or send messages.
10.5 No obligation to monitor. We are under no general obligation to monitor Content. We may, but are not required to, review, edit, or remove Content at our discretion.
10.6 Intellectual-property takedown. If you believe Content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, send a notice to support@gospelvox.com including (a) identification of the protected work, (b) identification of the allegedly infringing Content with enough detail to locate it, (c) your contact details, (d) a statement of good-faith belief that the use is not authorised, and (e) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the right-holder's behalf. We may remove the Content and notify the poster pending resolution.
11. Matrimony Feature
11.1 The matrimony discovery feature, where offered, is intended to help Users explore matrimonial connections within the Christian community. Profiles in this feature are submitted voluntarily by Users.
11.2 Users participating in matrimony must be of legal marriageable age under their applicable law. False statements about marital status, age, gender, or religious denomination are a material breach of these Terms.
11.3 We do not verify the identity, background, or representations of matrimony participants beyond standard account verification. Users are solely responsible for their own due diligence before meeting, sharing information with, or transacting with any other matrimony participant.
12. Anti-Circumvention
12.1 Users and Speakers introduced through the Platform must not, during the relationship that began on the Platform and for a period of 12 months after the last paid Session between them:
- solicit, accept, or offer off-Platform contact details, payment, or services that bypass the Platform's payment flow;
- use information obtained from the Platform to contact the other party through any channel other than the Platform's messaging or call features;
- attempt to engage in transactions outside the Platform that would otherwise have been transacted on it.
12.2 Breach of this Section is a material breach of these Terms and may result in: forfeiture of Coins or Speaker earnings, suspension or termination of the offending account, and recovery from the offender of the Commission we would have earned on the bypassed transaction, plus reasonable enforcement costs.
13. Prohibited Uses (Platform-Wide)
